The Metatech Group and our brands Simpli-Fi and Noba will support The Brompton Fountain as our Charity of the Year in 2022.
The Metatech Group is committed to Corporate Social Responsibility. In addition to the importance we place on our brands engaging in environmentally friendly practices, we strive to fulfil our philanthropic objectives by finding ways to give back to our communities. This is why we have committed to supporting a charity close to our hearts every year.
Our charity of the year for 2022 will be The Brompton Fountain, and Simpli-Fi Director Gary Exall tells us why:
“The Brompton Fountain provides vital support and resources, medical equipment and services that the NHS does not usually supply. They work closely with the hospital teams within the paediatric intensive care unit (PICU) and children’s wards. They fundraise to improve their young patients and their family’s quality of life and make a real difference when needed. This charity relies solely on the kindness and generosity of supporters who fundraise for them so that they can continue their vital work.
My Goddaughter Poppy became a Brompton Baby before she was even born when it was discovered she would need lifesaving heart surgery from the moment she arrived into the world. Poppy had this surgery when she was just four days old, and during this time, Poppy’s parents received an unwavering amount of unconditional support from the Brompton Team.
Poppy recovered well from her first surgery, but at only nine months old, she was diagnosed with another devastating new heart condition and underwent another successful major open-heart surgery.
To this day, Poppy continues to thrive and is the most amazingly happy little girl. The support and expertise Poppy’s family experienced from The Royal Brompton, and The Brompton Fountain was literally lifesaving.
The Brompton Fountain provided Poppy and her family with experiences that helped them through their journey. For example, the most beautiful singing team came to Poppy’s bedside and sang “fly me to the moon” the night before Poppy’s surgery, which she loved. The playroom was a wonderful escape from all the wires and all the constant invasive and often upsetting tests. The beautiful distractions and toys that were provided definitely kept Poppy and her family smiling through some horrendous times.
This is just a tiny part of what the Brompton Fountain does to keep the unbearable bearable, which is why we will be asking our communities to support us in our efforts to support them.
We will post regular updates on our blog and social channels throughout the year to let you know how we are getting on and how you can help us support this incredible charity.’
If you want to learn more about The Metatech Group, Simpl-Fi or Noba and how you can support us to meet our target of £10,000 for The Brompton Fountain next year.
We started our support early by donating to the Christmas Toy Appeal. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, toy donations cannot be accepted, so the charity is raising money to buy toys and fun, festive treats and activities for young patients who will be spending Christmas at The Royal Brompton Hospital.
If you would like to help brighten the festive season for the children in the hospital over Christmas, you can join us in donating by following this link.
