Seamless Connectivity: Simpli-Fi Transforms Mobile Coverage at Burberry’s London HQ
When luxury meets innovation, every detail matters. Burberry’s prestigious London headquarters at Horseferry House underwent a major refurbishment, demanding a mobile coverage solution that was as discreet as it was powerful. Simpli-Fi was brought on board to design, implement, and commission a multi-operator mobile coverage system that would enhance connectivity across the expansive 160,000 sq. ft. space—all while preserving the integrity of the building’s high-end architecture and interior design.
With an 18-month project timeline, Simpli-Fi faced a significant challenge: achieving seamless mobile coverage across all nine levels without any visible service antennas or equipment. Before this transformation, making a simple phone call inside the building was a struggle, with staff forced to step outside or hug windows for a patchy signal. The basement levels were complete dead zones.
Now, thanks to Simpli-Fi and the power of Nextivity technology, Burberry HQ enjoys full mobile coverage across all four major networks, ensuring uninterrupted communication and productivity for employees and visitors alike.
Solution
Simpli-Fi installed the Cel-Fi Quatra 4000e system across Burberry HQ. The installation was meticulously planned to fit into the renovation process. All service antennas were discreetly hidden to maintain the aesthetic integrity of the building.
Results
After the Cel-Fi Quatra 4000e installation, Burberry HQ experienced a significant improvement in mobile signal coverage across all nine levels. This upgrade was particularly impactful on the lower floors, where existing signal quality had progressively worsened due to the building being surrounded by other structures. Employees, guests, and attendees of fashion events now enjoy seamless connectivity, enhancing productivity and communication within the renovated workspace.
Challenges
Burberry HQ, Horseferry House, underwent a complete building renovation, compounding existing challenges for mobile signal installation. Simpli-Fi had to seamlessly integrate into various construction phases across nine levels. The installation was divided into cabling and equipment phases, further complicated by the constraint of concealing all service antennas.
